On
October 14th was the 25th anniversary of our house fire in Newbury
Park |

We [Den, Mary, Wendy 8 yrs. and Jake 7 yrs.] were sound to sleep...it was 1:51 a.m. Steve Reineke "Our gardian angel" said, "I was returning home from work when I noticed flames 6 to 8 feet high on the top of the roof. I thought fire trucks would be there, but then I thought I'd take a look. There were no trucks, no neighbors, the street was deserted." The fire was started by a wire in the wall in the garage... the fire department told us that if he had come 10 to 20 minutes later we'd probarly be dead. ...Just three weeks later Josh was born on 11-4-1981. |
