7th pageant proves to be lucky for area mother
Six times before, Newbury Park native Wendy Knapp placed second in the race for the title of Mrs. California . Sixteen California women competed for the title Saturday and Sunday at Lake San Marcos Resort. Contestants were required to be married and at least 21 years old.
