everyone~
Just
wanted to let you all know that Cristie and I got engaged
last night down in Newport Beach!!!
I was
able to have Michael pick me up in his airplane
after having lunch with Cristie father in Orange County
and asking for his permission to marry Cristie. Michael
and I flew up to Camarillo and after the unsuspecting Cristie
got out of work, we flew back down to Orange County
with her. Michael dropped us off at the airport; she
and I decided to get "dinner" down in Newport.
Still not knowing what was ahead of her, Cristie and I made
a quick stop at the beach just in time to watch the final
moments of the sun go down. I gave her a book which
I had made and illustrated using two penguins named "Margo"
and "Henry", telling the story of how they (we) met and
continuing to the point of our then standing on the beach. And when
she got to that point in the story where we were standing
on the beach, I stopped her and told her that I would
always love her and that being with her was the
only thing I could ever hope for. I got down
on one knee and asked her to marry me. . . . needless
to say, she said YES!. We hung out at the
beach for a little while longer and then made our way to
her parents house to celebrate the great news. They
were all excited and broke out the champagne, a wonderful
dinner, and dessert.
We
are both very excited and we wanted to share with you
all the wonderful news.
