Ocean explorer Dr. Robert Ballard became an international celebrity after leading the team that found the legendary Titanic some 13,000 feet below the ocean’s surface. After all, the supposedly unsinkable Titanic was the most famous maritime disaster of all time after it went down in 1912.
More than 1,500 people died in the tragedy, and its whereabouts had remained a mystery for seven decades.
But Ballard was also a former active-duty U.S. Navy officer who ultimately retired as a commander in the Naval Reserve. In 2008, he obtained funding from the Navy to find the doomed ocean liner only after agreeing to take on a clandestine mission to locate the Thresher and the USS Scorpion — two Cold War nuclear submarines lost in the 1960s.

Social worker Lisa-Marie brought David to our foster home at 5:30pm on mom's birthday at 5 days old
It was a rainy night, David had only a blanket, wearing a Kaiser T-shirt on his top & another on his bottom

Den and Mary met Harry on our daily walks, who is a 90 year old man with difficulty walking.
He cut off most of his finger on his left hand about the middle of 2017 carving a wood duck, his hobby. 
He came by to give us a hummingbird which he carved for us, with his now missing fingers.
I put it next to the very old wood statue of our Blessed Mother, my mom gave me .
The Blessed Mother was used in my grammer school May project "Mary Star of the Sea"
