Our bags are packed and we are ready to go!

I called dad on my cell phone... to tell him we were watching one of his Catalina 30's sailing by

On the cruise we shared our dinner table with...

Neil and Stacy from southwest Michigan

In the ships library...Den was planning the day's opportunities... so we had very little reading time
Breakfast was always a different group
Barbara and Alberta learned how to play backgammon
Walking off all the calories each day...

Formal night dinner

In our stateroom there were mints on the pillow and this elephant! How did they know we are republicans?

5:45 am we reached the...

Golden Gate Bridge

Sunrise over Alcatraz and the bay area
Fisherman's wharf

What a beautiful story she wrote...

Just Google [Readers Digest story Angel on a door step]

Out comes the ski jacket as we get further north

Note: We didn't take pictures one rough day at sea (between the Washington / Oregon coast)... the motion sickness bags were left out...people we're very quiet, laying around on lounge chairs, the ship looked like a senior-citizen rest home!

We arrived in Victoria, B.C. Canada

Craigdarroch Castle

Cruise activities we chose...and we didn't miss any meals however, we always took the stairs and walked miles on the ship / Night club shows / shuffleboard / rock climbing / backgammon / karaoke (we only listened) / bingo / WINE tasting / at port stops        (we walked everywhere including the hills of San Francisco) / we met the captain and his staff; many passangers representing 42 countries were on board!

Clyde's visit to the vet confirmed his pain was due to hip dysphasia...he came home and laid around drugged the rest of the day!

Advocating for David to be "fully included" at the 7th grade "Olde World Faire" had its problems...but David did have the experience and pictures that are his memories.  It is my hope that these pictures will show that in the future LCMS will welcome ALL students with "Special Needs" in whatever way then can.
